Multnomah Falls is a scenic waterfall situated on Multnomah Creek with access to this stunning natural wonder via the Historic Columbia River Highway and Interstate 84.
As per Native American legend, Multnomah Falls came into existence to capture the heart of a young princess in search of a secluded bathing spot. While the upper segment of the falls is visible from the highway, witnessing both tiers requires a walk to the viewing area set within a naturally carved niche in the rocky cliff. Gazing upward within the confines of the steep cliffs, your perspective is overwhelmed by the awe-inspiring scale of the falls.
