About Me

I’m a Portland-based photographer drawn to the wild diversity of the Pacific Northwest. The outdoors isn’t just backdrop, it’s the canvas where I steady my mind and chase balance.

My work lives at the intersection of curiosity and craft. I blend modern digital tools with large-format film, glass dry plates, paper negatives, tintypes, and now experimenting with handmade emulsions. Every stage from exposure to darkroom chemistry to high-resolution scans runs through my hands so the final image reflects exactly what I felt in the moment.

I aim to honor each medium’s voice: the granular texture of paper negatives, the luminous depth of silver gelatin plates, the unpredictable streak of instant film. Those quirks aren’t flaws; they’re the fingerprints of a fleeting moment captured before it slips away.

Change is constant, and every exposure can shift how we look at the world. That feeling keeps me pressing the shutter, mixing new chemistries, and crafting images that speak both to history and to now.
