About this image
This snarly old juniper tree was captured at the Little Glass Butte, which located about 57 miles west of Burns and 78 miles east of Bend.
Characterized by volcanic mountains and rolling hills covered by sagebrush, the 6,000-acre area, the area is known for its wide diversity of obsidian and is a favorite destination for rock hounds.
